What Rhythm Can I Joyfully Keep till 75?

A simple question came to me recently, and I haven’t been able to let it go: "What rhythm can I joyfully keep until 75?"
For much of my life, I measured myself by how much I could do — how far I could walk, how much I could accomplish, how much I could endure.
But as I mature in age, I’m beginning to ask a different question. Not "Can I push harder?" But "Can I sustain this with peace and joy?" The answer changes everything.
Instead of chasing intensity, I find myself cultivating rhythm.
A morning walk that fits naturally before work.
An evening walk accompanied by spiritual talks.
An hour of meditation that nourishes rather than competes with the rest of my day.
A pace of work that allows me to serve well without losing myself.
The older I become, the more I realize that life is not won through occasional bursts of inspiration. It is shaped by the quiet patterns we faithfully return to, day after day.
Perhaps wisdom is not about finding the perfect routine, but discovering the rhythm that allows us to keep walking—physically, mentally, and spiritually—for many years to come.
As I contemplate the next chapter of life, I no longer ask, “How much more can I do?” Instead, I ask, “What rhythm can I joyfully keep until 75?”
Whatever the answer is, that is the life I want to cultivate.
