The Summer That Barely Stayed

Aug 22
1 min read

Summer came this year almost like a brief visitor.

There were a few warm days, but mostly there was rain, gray sky, and temperatures lingering around mid 20s Celsius or low 70s Fahrenheit . Before summer could fully settle in, it already seemed to be making its way toward the door.

And honestly? I love it.

This may be my dream summer. A little cheekily, I will admit.

I have never needed summer to be relentlessly hot. Give me cool air, rain, a quiet sky, and the promise of autumn, and I am perfectly content. So while everyone else may be mourning the disappearance of summer, I find myself looking forward to September and the colder months.

The season is changing. Perhaps I am, too.

And for now, I am standing quietly at the threshold, enjoying the cool air.

Summer can leave whenever it wishes. I am quite ready for autumn. 🍂
