Waiting for the Right Jump

ree

I've been reminded lately of Steve Harvey's words: "If you want to be successful, you hae to to jump. If you don't jump, your parachute will never open. If you're safe, you'll never soar."

There's fire in those words, a push to be bold and courageous. And yet, I realize courage doesn't always look like leaping right away. Sometimes, courage is also the quiet decision to wait. To pause. To know deep down that a jump taken too soon, at the wrong cliff, is not the kind of leap that leads to soaring.

I recently had the chance to "jump" -- to pursue a new opportunity. I felt the pull, the enthusiasm, the momentum of it. But something within me said: not this one, not yet. It wasn't hesitation out of fear, but recognition that this step wasn't aligned.

Choosing to withdraw was not giving up on courage. It was honoring my timing. My rhythm. My truth. The jump will come again, and when it does, I'll be steady and ready.

For now, I trust that the waiting is part of the journey. The parachute will open - at the right time, in the right sky.
