My Cat Misses Me

ree

In their quiet waiting, I am reminded that love doesn't always need words - it only needs presence.

Tonight, as I pulled into the driveway, the first thing I noticed was not the lights on my house, but the little figure waiting patiently in front of the garage. My cat. Sitting there as if she had been holding a vigil, waiting for me to come home.

There's something so quietly powerful about the way animals love us. They don't send us long messages, they don't explain in words - but their presence speaks volumes. That small body sitting alone in the night, illuminated by the soft glow of the house lights, was a reminder of loyalty, of companionship, of how deeply we are missed when we are away.

Life gets busy. We run, we work, we stress, we sometimes feel unseen in the human world. yet here is a creature who notices every absence, celebrates every return, and makes us feel irreplaceable in the simplest of ways.

And maybe, that's all any of us really want - to know we matter enough to be missed.
