Job Search = Self Discovery

Harry Kraemer's article* today brings home an important point: Treat your job search as a quest for self-discovery.
"It is important to find out what you don't want as it is to identify the roles and companies that fit," he wrote.
This resonates deeply. Often, we approach job hunting with a checklist - title, salary, benefits - without pausing to reflect on what truly aligns with our values, energy, and purpose.
Each application, each interview, each offer - or lack thereof - is more than a step toward a job. It's a step toward understanding ourselves - a mirror revealing more about what drives us and what drains us.
In essence, job search is not just finding a position; it's abut finding yourself in the process. Pay attention to what energizes you, what drains you, and what truly aligns.
Your next role isn't just your role, but a mirror reflecting who you are becoming.
