Energy of an Environment

After three days of rest at home (taking off the Friday prior plus the weekend) - combing through my energy in my own sanctuary with my cats - returning to the office feels like an "assault" on the senses. The bright lights, the open space, the constant demand...
Yet, I remind myself: It is a fortune to have a good job, a stable income, and work that has held me for six years now. Still, I've learnt I need a firm cut-off time by 7pm the latest so that I can get back to my home sanctuary and recharge. Anything later pulls life out of balance, as I have allowed to happen far too long.
Environments impact us so much - our mood, our energy, our sense of self. The spaces we inhabit either nourish us or drain us. I am learning to listen to what each space does to me.
